There To Catch Me

Wolf coalesces her world of filmmaking into the world of music videos to create what she calls a lyrical novella or feature music video—a mini-film that becomes the prologue to the traditional music video, capturing the essence of a song in spoken word with a screenplay, lead cast, and its band members. The confluence of these two mediums creates an exciting new lane for music videos to thrive on both cinematic and musical platforms. Song is performed by The Nashvillains and the film, written & directed by Wolf, stars JOHNNY WACTOR, CAITLIN HARRIS, and CLARE GRANT.

Boat Names

Wolf collaborated with musical artist Brian Kelley, formerly of FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE, to bring his gorgeous song “Boat Names” to the big and small screen for his debut solo album.

Writing and directing the song in scripted form, Wolf and her film crew shot the film and video off the coast of Florida, forging through unpredictable weather with boats, yachts, drones, and all of the elements of the sea firmly at-hand to capture this enchanting love story.

Little Chenier

Written by Wolf and her brother, Jace Douglas Johnson, Little Chenier was Wolf’s directorial debut in theaters and a festival darling on the indie circuit. The critically acclaimed film, lauded by critics as “Shakespeare on the bayou” and “a Steinbeck novel on film” garnered 21 festival awards on its festival run, including 10 Best Picture Awards. Shot on 35mm film in a 110-degree heat deep in the bayous of Louisiana surrounded by alligators, snakes, and swarming mosquitoes, Little Chenier is Wolf’s love letter to Southwest Louisiana.

Wolf captured the beauty and authenticity of Cajun Country by shooting in the swamplands with her entire cast and crew living in the small Cajun communities surrounding the real floating town of Little Chenier. The film, shot primarily on water from boats and barges, stars JOHNATHON SCHAECH, CLIFTON COLLINS, JR., FRED KOHLER, TAMARA BRAUN, ISABELLA HOFFMAN, JEREMY DAVIDSON, and CHRIS MULKEY.

Little Chenier - BTS

Wolf: “This film is an homage to the beautiful Cajun people of Southwest Louisiana and their culture that had never been preserved on film before this one. It was a huge feat, emotionally and physically, for all of us involved with the insurmountable demands of shooting such an ambitious film in 36 locations in only 24 days, along with shooting it mainly on water without a land base for up to 20 miles at time in the dead heat of summer and shooting it all on 35mm film.

Many suffered from heat stroke, sun stroke and vertigo along the way, but standing there at the end, we had such an overwhelming amount of love and pride for what we accomplished together. We all were incredibly grateful to be able to give this gift on film to the people of Southwest Louisiana, especially after losing most of their land and homes in the hurricane devastation that was to hit shortly after we filmed. Little Chenier will always be one of my most cherished achievements.”
